Meet Angus King

Meet
Angus King

Maine's Independent U.S. Senator

Angus started his working life in 1969 as an attorney for Pine Tree Legal Assistance in Skowhegan. From there, he shifted his focus to causes that would better the lives of people in Maine. He served as your Governor, and in January 2013, he was sworn in to serve as your United States Senator. Today, he lives in Brunswick with his wife, Mary. They have one daughter, Molly, and four sons, Angus III, Duncan, James and Ben, along with seven precious grandchildren.

When Angus isn’t working for Maine in the Senate or out and about in Maine talking to constituents, there’s a good chance he might be out enjoying all Maine has to offer.

More Than Lighthouses and Summer Visitors

Building a Future for maine – For Ourselves and our children

The people of Maine know that our state is more than lighthouses and summer visitors. We are as independent as they come. We work hard, we pay our dues, and we do what we’re supposed to do. Washington is broken and Senator King is ringing the bell of common sense to get things for the people of Maine – to build a future for ourselves and our children.

Support Angus King's Campaign
